“Through strong leadership, commitment and membership, together we can affect changes
to the mental health system across our pan-national landscape.”
– Ellen Cohen, National Coordinator
Together for Mental Health
The National Network for Mental Health (NNMH) was founded by and for mental health consumer/survivors across Canada. The organization is dedicated to fighting stigma and discrimination on behalf of its membership. NNMH shares resources, provides education and expertise, and advocates on mental health issues. Over the past 25 years, NNMH has forged many successful partnerships in its mission to promote human rights and support all people to be fully included and valued members of society. Its alliance with eSSENTIAL Accessibility is one strong example. The assistive technology Windows browser and Android mobile application that NNMH makes available through its website is an important tool to achieve full inclusion.
Ensure your voice is heard! Join the National Network for Mental Health as a member, and help steer the strategic direction of the organization. Participate in national surveys and suggest topics for online articles. Voting membership is open to those with lived experience of mental health issues. Family members, friends and other allies are also invited to join as non-voting supportive members. Want to contribute even more? Volunteer opportunities are currently available.
